I always carry a book around; no matter where, no matter when. I´m a fan of old stuff, mostly short-stories from the 19th century. The likes of Jules Verne, Arthur Conan Doyle or Lovecraft. I´m a fan of Stephen King (the Dark Tower Series is brilliant) and every now and then I pick up a random bestseller. Lately I´ve been reading Child 44 (Tom Rob Smith). A crime-thriller set in Russia, in 1953. Since I´m a huge sci-fi geek, mainly speaking of dystopian/utopian societies, I love the Communistic setting. It´s a bit like Equilibrium or Brave new World (if you ever read it in school). Horrifying, but therefore captivating. I really feel for these poor characters.
What books/writers do you read? Do you prefer certain topics or writing-techniques? For example: I love that fictional-diary style of writing you might know from Arthur Conan Doyle or Lovecraft. Reading their works makes me feel like uncovering a real mystery.
How about you?
